I did not realize these would be different sizes. But both are really nice. The Lois is the scale of the other DCU figures. The Batgirl is in the same scale of most of the Doctor Who figures.
Isn't it that Batgirl is just in scale to the other figure? Girl vs Woman? I didn't get a close enough look at the Batman to see if it was in scale with the Superman/Lois figures.
That Batgirl is no girl with breasts like that. I didn't get the Batman to see how she scales with him, nor did I get the Superman to see how he scaled with Batman. I just checked DC Direct's site and the others are listed as 6.75 inches for the guys and Lois is 6.5 inches. Batgirl is listed at 5.5 inches. So if the intent is that she's still a girl, she's either a very short teen of 16 or so, or she's rather well endowed for a younger girl. She just doesn't look right next to Lois. If they wanted her shorter, they would've done better with a 6 inch figure, IMO. But she works perfectly with the Torchwood, Dr. Who, and Primeval figures, which are in the 5.5 inch range.
I don't think I've every seen a DC figure in this scale, not when it was part of a regular series of figs in another scale, as this one is. As for the Lois, I've been wanting her since I saw the prototype at NY Comicon in April.

ReplyDeleteI should also add that BG's waist and legs don't scale properly for a girl, or teen, either, so for some reason, she was made short. Very short.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a difference in scale! Nice figures though. I really like Lois.
