Reviews Here Short and Sweet

Brave and the Bold 20
Nice seeing a new side of the Phantom Stranger. This is one weird storyline, very intriguing.

Rann-Thanagar Holy War 8
I enjoyed this series more than I expected, but I'll be happy to not hear about Rann or Thanagar for a while. I wouldn't mind seeing the Weird again, tho.

Flash 247
I know Barry's coming back, but I hope Wally has a substantial role in the DCU, because he's really come into his own as Flash and in the latest issues. And I always liked Wally more than Barry. It was nice seeing Roy and the rest of the Titans, too.

Wonder Woman 27
There's more to the lasso than has been revealed til now. Wow. This has been awesome. Gail has really ratcheted up the tension and suspense in this storyline. My faith has been restored.

Trinity 30
A recap, catch-up issue. Nice, but nothing special. And I have to complain about the font for the storytelling. Sure, it looks cool, but it's damn difficult for me to read. I ended up skimming those sections.

Superman Supergirl: Maelstrom 4
If not for the silly New Gods nonsense, I'd probably enjoy this more. Really fine art by Phil Noto, though. I really like his style.

Zorro 9
I'm really loving this book. It's a great companion piece for The Lone Ranger, in its retelling of a classic character with a more modern, realistic approach.

  1. It was nice to see the Titans all being competent and a team...for a change. At least Wally had something of a happy ending, at least for now.

The Brave & the Bold has been interesting. Looks as though Hal and the Phantom Stranger are in big trouble. They'll somehow manage to overcome their problems, with the Stranger being enigmatic, and Hal flashing his magnificent backside.

Wonder Woman just keeps getting better and better. I...I actually LIKE Nemesis.

  2. LOL. Hal's backside is a weapon all by itself. :)

I've always liked Nemesis. He's just not always written well. Gail is doing a great job with him. His heart is always in the right place.
