In 1976, a leap year, DC Comics threw Superman a birthday bash at the old Commodore Hotel on East 42nd Street, in Manhattan, NY and I was there. I got some nice autographs, too, some with drawings.
As a child and DC Fanatic in the 70s, I can remember sometimes speaking the name 'Murray Boltinoff' like it was an incantation or something, and to see his autograph (not to mention the other familiar names) is just too cool. Thanks for posting that!
I wish I could remember, H. I do remember that I was walking around in awe most of the time, but I really don't remember getting those autographs. Which means I didn't embarrass myself, because THAT I would remember!

ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. That was the most fun I had at a con. It was fun looking at the program again. I'd forgotten whose autographs I'd gotten.
