The Good and the Bad

Welcome to Tranquility 12 was loads of fun, even if I got a bit confused because I should have reread the earlier installments as I'd forgotten a lot of what had happened already. Ah well. Still good. Gail Simone at her most manic. I'm not sure if that's the right word. I'm not sure what the right word is for this book. It makes even the New Atom that she writes seem calm. She just packs so much into a panel, let alone a page, dialogue-wise. The art by Neil Googe is a perfect match.

So I went through the February solicits for DC and nothing I saw there has me feeling any better about Roy's health. I've been worried about him ever since seeing the cover for Green Arrow and Black Canary 4, and the one for 5 is no better. There's no mention of him in the Justice League of America solicits, and I didn't see the new Titans book, supposedly coming out in January or February, listed, either. I can't believe they would kill Roy, but then, I also can't believe they wouldn't. It's gonna be a long couple of months til the January issue.

That's a nice cover, though. Damn.

  1. I understand about killing characters. I don't like having my favorites killed off. But I really don't like when they hype a mystery death for months on end.

It's just been announced at Wizard World Texas that the new Titan's ongoing will be out in April, the delay is because the artist has a nasty shoulder injury. It was also confirme on the DC panel there that Red Arrow will be appearing in both the new Titan's ongoing and the JLA. *sighs with releif*

  3. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Kim. :D The thought that Lian might lose her daddy....

Now we can wonder if it's Mia or Connor who's gonna die.

  4. No, we don't want it to be Connor. I like Mia, too. It's probably Mia, because supporting female characters are their favorite cannon fodder, damn it. But as long as it's not Roy or Connor...
